Cuando tú me dices
“linda”
no te refieres a mí
te refieres al cuerpo.
Odio este cuerpo
belleza
es algo
cincelado en ella
violándome.
pero
sí amo mi ser
Deseo,
algún día,
encontrar a la persona
que me diga “hermosa”
y
confiar
en su palabra.
A poem in the bathroom
A poem by Daniela Camacho
When you refer to me as
“pretty”
you are not referring to me
but to the body.
I hate this body
beauty
carved into it
thrust into me.
but
I love me
My wish:
find someone
who calls me beautiful
and
trust
their words.
